WXRT 93.1 FM has announced its ninth annual 93XRT/Goose Island Holiday Jam, a big holiday concert, this year featuring performances by Spoon with special guest Real Estate on Sunday, December 10, at the landmark Chicago Theatre.  This is an annual signature event for 93XRT.

“The 93XRT/Goose Island Holiday Jam was created to showcase some of the most dynamic talents around, and to offer a memorable annual holiday event for Chicago music fans. This year’s fabulous double bill of Spoon and Real Estate will certainly accomplish that goal!” stated Greg Solk, 93XRT Program Director/Operations Manager.

A 93XRT ticket presale is scheduled for Thursday, October 12 from 10:00 AM CT through 10:00 PM CT. The presale password is “XRTHOLIDAY.” Four ticket limit. Ticket supplies are limited. General tickets go on sale Friday, October 13 at 9:00 AM CT through all Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets will also be available at The Chicago Theatre box office, located at 175 N. Real Estate
With their ninth album “Hot Thoughts” gathering praise as the bravest, most sonically inventive works of their career, Spoon is comprised of Britt Daniel (vocals, guitar), Jim Eno (drums), Rob Pope (bass guitar, keyboards, backing vocals) and Alex Fischel (keyboard, guitar).

Daniel’s songwriting genius is already established, but the band’s performances on television, including “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” as well as their festival appearances this year at Lollapalooza, SXSW, Forecastle and Panorama have all shown the band’s a continued force to be reckoned with.

Real Estate was formed in Ridgewood, New Jersey by singer/guitarist Martin Courtney and bassist Alex Bleeker. In 2011, Jackson Pollis joined the band on drums and later Matt Kallman on keyboards and Julian Lynch on guitar. Their 2017 album “In Mind” marks Real Estate’s fourth overall full-length, casting the band in a new light.
