The Conclave Announces New Board Members

Peter Bowen
The Conclave, which celebrates 41 years of educating radio broadcasters this year, announces that it has appointed three new members to its Board of Directors.

The new board members are:
  • Peter Bowen, Vice President/Market Manager, Cumulus Media-Chicago
  • Tony Coles, Executive Vice President, Programming, iHeart Media
  • Melek Demir, Director of Radio, National Association of Broadcasters
All three will serve key roles within the organization to help build on the Conclave’s continued success as radio’s storied annual industry event helps broadcasters network and learn from one another.

Tony Coles
Lori Lewis, Vice President, Social, Cumulus Media and Westwood One, said: “As volunteers, it’s not always easy to find time to give back. We are all busier than ever. And because of that, I’m grateful for Peter, Tony and Melek for giving their time to Conclave. I am also grateful for the current board members that work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure Conclave serves our industry. We are working on dates for Conclave 42 in 2017 and will have an announcement soon!”
Melek Demir

Coles said: “Early in my career The Conclave played a pivotal role in my development, and over the years it has been a source of inspiration and motivation. It is a thrill and an honor to join the board of an organization that has meant so much to me and to so many in our industry.”

Demir said: “Having served the radio industry through my years with ABC Radio Networks, CNNRadio and NAB, I’m excited to continue the growth of The Conclave conference.”
