WW1 Goes Backstage At Billboard Music Awards

California pop trio Bahari will provide an exclusive performance during Westwood One Backstage at the Billboard Music Awards.  This special backstage performance will be part of a showcase of brand activations and backstage audio and video coverage leading up to 2016 Billboard Music Awards.

Westwood One Backstage at the Billboard Music Awards will host a radio row and produce exclusive red carpet and post-show coverage. The 2016 Billboard Music Awards, hosted by Ludacris and Ciara, will be beamed live from the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday, May 22 at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT on ABC.

On Saturday, May 21, Westwood One Backstage at the Billboard Music Awards will host an active Radio Row from 12 noon–4 pm PT in the Live Lucky Lounge of T-Mobile Arena. The event will feature 20+ radio stations from across the country, Westwood One national shows The Adam Bomb Show and Zach Sang Show, and a branded photo fun booth sponsored by Mars/M&M’s Crispy.


Following Radio Row, pop trio Bahari – featuring vocalist/bassist Natalia Panzarella, vocalist/keyboardist Ruby Carr, and vocalist/guitarist Sidney Sartini -- will entertain with an intimate backstage performance.  Bahari, which means “ocean” in Swahili, starts touring with Selena Gomez on June 17.

On Sunday, May 22, Westwood One Backstage will present five hours of special Billboard Music Awards programming for nearly 100 stations nationwide, starting with a pre-show red carpet broadcast from 7–8 pm ET, hosted by Kerri Kasem and featuring Ralphie Aversa in the Fan Zone.

Westwood One/Cumulus is syndicating two companion programs for the 2016 BBMAs to 75 Cumulus stations – an AC version hosted by Westwood One personality Adam Bomb with Kristin Klingshirn and a Top 40 version with the Zach Sang Show team.
