Philly Radio: AMP Radio Adds Jilly, Mike Adam To Lineup

Five months after rebranding from Wired WRDW 96.5 FM to WZMP 96.5 FM Amp Radio, CBS Radio has announced a new lineup of hosts for the Top 40 station.

Since taking on the Amp moniker in April, the station has been operating without hosts to focus on its all-music promotion but Program Director Bobby Smith said ratings have actually spiked since that time.

The Philadelphia Business Journal reports Smith, a New Jersey native who returned to the area this spring after serving in the same role for WJHM 101.9 FM Amp Radio in Orlando, unveiled a new lineup Friday.

Jilly
New to the station are Jill "Jilly" Osterman and Mike Adam. Both start Sept. 10.

Osterman will host middays (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.). She was most recently the afternoon drive host at CBS sister station KKHH Hot 95.7 FM in Houston.

Adam will serve as PM drive host. He was previously at WBMP 92.3 FM Amp Radio in New York, and previously worked as the nighttime host on WIOQ 102.1 FM in Philadelphia.

Mike Adam
The station’s music director, who goes by the name Bennett, will serve a nighttime host. Another incumbent on-air talent, Bex, will serve as a morning drive host but Smith said the station anticipates “sharing some exciting news on our morning drive lineup sometime soon.”

CBS Radio bought 96.5 along with country station WXTU 92.5 FM from Beasley Broadcasting Group in October as part of a larger station swap in which CBS gave Beasley 610 WIP-AM. The two stations acquired are located at 555 E. City Ave in Bala Cynwyd, Pa.
