Syracuse Radio: Chiefs Return To Terrestrial Radio

Every regular-season and postseason Chiefs game over the next two years will once again be broadcast on WSKO 1260 AM / The Score.  “One of our top priorities with the new Syracuse Chiefs. The Triple A affiliate of the Washington Nationals went web-only during the 2013 season, only to find listeners weren’t satisfied with only being able to hear the playby-play online.

"One of our top priorities with the new Syracuse Chiefs last year was returning the team to radio," Chiefs general manager Jason Smorol said in a statement. "Our fans called for our games to be on radio, and we teamed up with Cumulus to make that happen. We loved working with them so much that we've locked them up for the next two years."

According to Syracuse.com, the broadcast team this season will consist of Kevin Brown, returning for his fifth season in the booth and first full season as lead broadcaster, and Eric Gallanty, who joins the Chiefs for his first year with Syracuse after spending last year with the Salem Red Sox of the Carolina League. Brown and Gallanty will be in the radio booth for all 144 Syracuse games this season.

Syracuse's 2015 season begins on April 9, at 7:05 p.m. at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, with coverage beginning that night on The Score 1260.
