Clark Howard |
The year he joined WSB 750 AM radio, the Atlanta-based talker began this quest in 1991 to help kids who are often forgotten, ones who don’t know their moms and dads, who lack the traditions that many hold dear.
The syndicated talk show host consumer advocate said the process has become more streamlined over time, his National Guard buddies always a huge help. Every year, he stops by several retail stores as collection points for toys.
Howard said he was taken aback by the number of kids in need this year but his listeners stepped up. “The turnout was huge the last two days,” he texted me after Christmas. “I was on Cloud Nine!”
