IL Radio: N/T WJBC Names Tim Lewis New PD

Cumulus/Bloomington has announced that 30-year radio broadcasting professional Tim Lewis has been named Program Director and Afternoon Drive Host for News/Talk WJBC 1230 AM / 93.7 FM, the Voice of Central Illinois.

Lewis comes to WJBC-AM from Riverbend Communications’ KBLY in Idaho Falls, where he was Program Director and Morning Drive Host. He has been recognized for his work in radio news at stations including KSL-Salt Lake City, KOA-Denver, WLW-Cincinnati, and KLO-Ogden, UT. Lewis is a two-time Murrow Award recipient for his work at KOA, and was recently named Personality of the Year by the Idaho State Broadcasters Association for 2013 for his Morning Drive talk show. He has been recognized for his news coverage as a reporter, producer and anchor by the Society of Professional Journalists, Associated Press, UPI, and Radio and Television News Directors Association. Lewis is also a nine-time Sportscaster of the Year, recognized five times in Utah, and also in California, Colorado and most recently, in 2013 for the state of Idaho.  

In the 90’s Lewis hosted a nationally syndicated sports-talk show on the One on One Sports Radio Network based out of Chicago.
