Waterloo, IA Radio: Woodward To Sell Four Stations To NRG


Woodward Communications has announced its intention to sell four of its stations in Waterloo, IA to NRG Media LLC.

The deal is reported to be worth about $3.5M.

Subject to FCC approval, NRG would acquire Classic Hits KOKZ 105.1 FM Cool, Active Rock KFMW 107.9 FM Rock 108, N/T KZEL 1540 AM and Sports KWLO 1330 AM ESPN.

NRG Media CEO Mary Quass said, “We are delighted to have the opportunity to add the stations in Waterloo/Cedar Falls to our platform. We continue to look for great radio properties that are located in the Midwest and are an integral part of the communities they serve. NRG is pleased to be adding these strong stations to our company of great local radio stations.”
