Special Report with Bret Baier’s exclusive interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on FOX News Channel on Friday, February 28th dominated television, peaking with 6.4 million viewers and 855,000 in the 25-54 demo from 6-6:15 PM/ET.
The interview, which was President Zelenskyy’s first reaction to his Oval Office meeting with President Trump, led all broadcast primetime and cable programs with viewers including CBS’ NCIS Sydney (4.4 million P2+) and CBS’ Fire Country (4.3 million P2+).
Special Report secured 73% of the cable news share at 6 PM/ET with viewers and 66% in the 25-54 demo. President Zelenskyy was the third world leader to appear on Special Report last week, following Baier’s interviews with French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Compared to the show’s already high 2025 (3.5 million viewers and 414,000 in 25-54 demo) average, Friday’s program was 63% higher with viewers and saw a 60% increase in the 25-54 demo. Additionally, this was the second highest-rated 6 PM/ET hour on a Friday in FOX News history behind the 2017 Inauguration of President Donald Trump.
