Blake Seylhouwer |
Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Robert Winkler sentenced Seylhouwer to 60 days in jail but, since he's already served three times that amount, Seylhouwer walked out of court a free man.
A jury found him guilty last month of two counts of negligent assault.
Misty Seylhouwer |
Madeira police said he shot his wife, Misty, after she turned her back on him and walked away during an Aug. 12 argument.
Seylhouwer called 911 and claimed he accidentally shot his wife while taking a rifle out of his vehicle, but police didn't buy it.
The two are divorcing.
He didn't shoot his wife, he shot at the ground, concrete shrapnel from the pavement hit her. At the distance they were from one another, he could have easily hit her had he actually intended to. The media always warps the facts to create the worst possible scenario. More likely he was extremely angry and not in complete control of himself. Did he shoot his wife? No, he shot at the ground, was he in the right? Absolutely not, however shooting at the ground and shooting a person are two very different things!
