From 2009 to February 2014, Tory was a talk show host on CFRB 1010 AM. His show also aired on CHAM in Hamilton and CKTB in St. Catharines.
From 1995 to 1999, Tory was president and CEO of Rogers Media which had become one of Canada's largest publishing and broadcasting companies.
In his victory speech at the Liberty Grand, Tory promised that “better days are ahead.”
“We now begin building Toronto the great,” Tory said.
“Torontonians want a future where their mayor proudly represents the whole city, one Toronto — a leader who regards you not just as taxpayers, but as citizens too. And that ladies and gentlemen is exactly what I intend to do.”
