CBS Radio’s WCBS 101.1 FM for the fourth consecutive month
has won bragging rights as the Big Apple’s #1 station (6+ AQH) in the October
PPMs released Monday by NielsenAudio.
The Classic Hits station dropped some 6.8—6.1, but maintained enough
momentum to outpace everyone else.
WCBS-FM’s recent performance may have iHeartRadio’s WLTW 106.7 FM
wondering if they should hop on the All-Christmas bandwagon early this year. For the fourth consecutive month, WLTW
dropped, this time 5.7—5.4 to place #3 in The Top5 6+
Emmis UrbanAC WBLS 107.5 FM was up a notch 5.3—5.4, good for
second place. iHeartMedia’s WHTZ 100.3 FM was up 4.8—5.1 and placed at #4..however,
Z100 ended up #1 25-54, 18-34 AND 18-49, plus #2 in Cume.
SBS Tropical WSKQ 97.9 FM
(LaMega), which was off 5.1—5.0 and ended up in fifth place.
Also worthy-of-note: CBS Radio Sports WFAN 101.9 FM The Fan scored
its best book in over a year moving 3.5—4.5 to move from #8 to #6.
