The Phoenix Suns and Arizona Sports KMVP 98.7 FM have signed a new multi-year agreement to keep Arizona Sports as the team's premier radio station.
"There's no better example of a true partnership than out ongoing relationship with Arizona Sports and the Bonneville family," said Suns president Jason Rowley in a statement. "For 39 years, our fans have known where to tune in to the 'Voice of the Suns' Al McCoy on game night, and we are thrilled to be continuing that for the foreseeable future."
The new agreement will also allow Arizona Sports to expand their coverage to include a postgame show that will air one hour after the conclusion of each Suns game. In addition to airing on 98.7 FM, the show will also air on RISE, the Suns' new digital streaming network that debuted on the team's website and mobile app in September.
The agreement will also affect News KTAR 92.3 FM, which will air a weekly "Suns Spotlight" segment featuring updates from the team's business operations.
Arizona Sports will continue to air a weekly show with Suns head coach Jeff Hornacek, President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby and General Manager Ryan McDonough.
The 2014-15 NBA season will mark the 39th year for the Suns and Arizona Sports partnership to broadcast Phoenix's games.
