The year's big Tradio has gotten thumbs-up from the FTC and DOJ.
Of course, it's the CBS-Beasley radioswap, the multimarket station shuffle between CBS Radio and Beasley Broadcast Group.
The Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice Antitrust Division have completed their review and determined there’s no reason to step in. CBS is spinning its clusters in Tampa and Charlotte, as well as a single Philadelphia AM, while Beasley is handing off its Miami cluster and two Philly FMs. The FCC still needs to approve the transfer. The deal is expected to close by the end of the year.
