Entercom Hacked Again

Over the weekend Entercom Commications was subjected to another cyberattack.

According to blogger Jerry Del Colliano it happened Sunday morning.  It's believed the hack was directed at Entercom all-news stations, includng KYW 1060 Philadelphia.

According to Del Colliano's paywall blog, KYW in Philadelphia was forced to air recorded segments from the overnight hours.  The station reportedly identified the affected hours as pre-recorded.

The system hacked merges scripts, wires and news audio during airing.

The hacking affected all markets to varying degrees. Entercom owns 235 radio stations nationwide.

On Monday, Entercom confirmed the disruption to its IT systems adding the issues were largely resolved by Monday morning.

What has been reported as a cyber-attack came just three months after a major breach in September that cost the company millions of dollars in costs, lost revenues and new security systems.
