Miami Radio: WQAM, NHL Panthers Agree To Broadcast Extension


Entercom and the NHL Florida Panthers have reached a multiyear broadcast extension. As part of the agreement, Sports Radio WQAM 560 AM in Miami will remain the broadcast radio home of the team, airing all Panthers games through the end of the 2021-2022 season.

“As South Florida’s Iconic Sports Station, WQAM is committed to being the go-to home for Miami’s devoted sports fans,” said Keriann Worley, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom South Florida. “We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with the Florida Panthers and are committed to providing fans with comprehensive coverage of their hometown team.”

“We’re proud to continue to our partnership with Entercom and 560 WQAM as our Panthers’ flagship,” said Shawn Thornton, Senior Vice President, Florida Panthers. “From the RADIO.COM app to the dial, our fans know where to find Panthers Hockey and Panthers talk.”

In addition to game broadcasts, 560 WQAM Sports Radio will feature weekly player interviews, a coach’s show featuring head coach Joel Quenneville, a weekly in-season “Panthers Insider” show, in-season “Panthers’ Wednesdays,” and additional ancillary coverage including a one-hour preseason special and a two-hour live NHL Draft broadcast.

Listeners can tune in to 560 WQAM in Miami on air, as well as nationwide on the RADIO.COM app and website. Fans can also connect with the station on social media via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
