Dale Cardwell |
Clear Channel Radio attracted Cardwell away from rival
News/Talk WSB.
“Bad people are rarely held accountable,” Cardwell said.
“Every afternoon, we’re going to talk with consumers, get to the bottom of what
went wrong, and if someone deserves it, we’ll chase down the responsible
party.”
Dale Cardwell became a household Atlanta name as WSB-TV’s lead investigative
reporter. He broke stories that led to the imprisonment of Atlanta Mayor Bill
Campbell, DeKalb County Sheriff Sidney Dorsey and to the exposure of numerous
scams and scandals.
After an attempted run for the US Senate, Cardwell returned
to journalism as founder of the consumer research and business referral
website, TrustDale.com. “I’ve realized there’s no such thing as consumer
police,” Cardwell said. “I created TrustDale.com, TrustDale TV, and TrustDale
Radio to help consumers make smart choices when it comes to their toughest
buying decisions.”
Brian Michel, VP of Marketing for Clear Channel in Atlanta said, “We were
looking for a local talent who could not only shake things up, but had the
credentials to talk the talk. No Atlanta
investigative journalist is more credible than Dale Cardwell.”
Cardwell’s flagship show will air daily from 5pm to 6pm on
640 WGST beginning January 6th, 2014. Clear Channel will also feature
Cardwell's consumer problem-solving segments on sister stations 94.9 The Bull
and Radio 105.7.
