Fox News Racks Up 1.2B Views On YouTube

Fox News has achieved a remarkable milestone in the first quarter of 2025, racking up over 1.2 billion YouTube views, marking its strongest quarter ever on the platform.

This surge, reported Tuesday, by Mediaite and confirmed by Fox News itself, highlights the network’s growing dominance in digital video content, outpacing competitors like CNN, MSNBC, NBC News, ABC News, and CBS News by hundreds of millions of views.

According to data from Emplifi, Fox News saw a 26% increase in YouTube views compared to the fourth quarter of 2024, which had previously been its best-performing quarter. The network’s 1.2 billion views dwarfed MSNBC’s 945 million, CNN’s 489 million, NBC News’ 391 million, ABC News’ 357 million, and CBS News’ 172 million for the same period.

The record-breaking performance comes amid a historic news cycle, with Fox News attributing its success to sustained viewer reliance on its coverage for information and analysis. January 2025 stood out as the network’s second-most-viewed month ever on YouTube, trailing only November 2024, the election month, which underscores the role of major political events in driving engagement.

Notably, Fox News maintained its lead despite NBC News outperforming it on TikTok, where NBC racked up over a billion views in January alone. In contrast, other competitors like CNBC (just under 90 million views) and Bloomberg (just under 30 million) lagged far behind in the YouTube race for the quarter.

Fox News’ digital triumph extends beyond YouTube. The network has solidified its position as a multiplatform leader, with earlier reports from March 2025 showing it doubling CNN in multiplatform views and minutes for February, according to Comscore. Its YouTube success follows a strong 2024, where Fox News Digital led all news brands in multiplatform metrics and posted significant year-over-year growth. The first quarter of 2025 also saw Fox Business secure 326 million YouTube views, maintaining its dominance in the business news category for the 13th consecutive quarter.
