Amazon Music Launches Maestro, A Playlist Generator

Amazon Music has introduced Maestro, an AI-powered playlist generator that allows users to create personalized playlists using spoken or written prompts, including emojis. Here’s a glimpse of what Maestro offers:

Prompt Ideas: To get started, users can provide a prompt idea. It can be something short, long, or even based on emotions, activities, or sounds. For instance:

  • “Songs that sound like 🎖️”
  • “Genius Myspace era hip-hop 🎜🎵”
  • “Music my grandparents made out to 🎤🎻🎼”

Unique Playlists: Within seconds, Maestro generates a unique-to-you playlist based on your input. Whether you’re in the mood for electronic beats or robot-like tracks, Maestro’s got you covered.

Sharing and Collaboration: Once you’ve created your playlist, you can save it, share it with friends, and even invite them to create their own playlists to share back.

Remember that Maestro is still in beta, so it might not always get it right on the first try. Amazon has implemented systems to proactively block offensive language and inappropriate prompts, ensuring a safe experience for everyone.

If you’re an Amazon Music Unlimited subscriber, you can listen to your playlists instantly and save them for later. Prime members and ad-supported customers can enjoy 30-second previews of their playlists before saving. Maestro is currently available on iOS and Android for a subset of U.S. customers, and Amazon plans to expand access over time.
