Portland OR Radio: KINK PD Sean Demery Suffers Stroke

Alpha Media Triple A KINK 101.9 FM Program Director Sean Demery recently suffered a stroke on January 20.

His family and friend have released the following statement:

"It’s with heavy hearts but positive spirits that the family and friends of Sean Demery would like to inform you of his recent medical issue.  Sean suffered a brain-stem stroke on January 20. 

His spirits are good, as he’s been requesting his favorite bands, checking in on KINK daily, and conversing with family and friends and checking email and texts. 

There is a long road to recovery ahead for Sean, and we ask for your continued support, positive thoughts and prayers.  Sean’s wife Jennifer has asked that you check in on Sean’s Facebook page for updates and to post messages, video messages and pics for Sean.  

We also ask that you respect the privacy of Sean’s family and please direct your messages, posts and well-wishes to the Facebook Group.  Hearing from his friends and listeners is the best therapy he can receive, so thank you!"

Demery is able to listen to music, talk to friends and family and check social media, the story said, but he has a long road of recovery. There is a public Facebook page to keep track of his progress.
