Hubbard Radio's WTOP lost share, but so
did crosstown rival WAMU, so the net effect is the stations remain
1-2 (6+ AQH Total Week) in the August PPMs released Tuesday by
Nielsen.
Once the dust settled, WTOP 103.7 FM
was down 8.7—8.0 for the month, while American University's non-com N/T WAMU 8.5 fell 8.2—7.7.
Then there's a two way-tie for #3, with
iHeartMedia's AC WASH 97.1 FM moving 6.0—6.4, to tie Howard
University's UrbanAC WHUR 96.3 FM, which was also up 6.2—6.4.
iHM's WIHT Hot 99.5 FM dropped 6.8—5.9
to end up in fifth place, which holding on as the market's Cume
champ.
