The network will feature a full schedule of Game Day programming leading up to kickoff of Super Bowl XLIX. Super Bowl XLIX airs live from University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday, February 1, 2015 as Russell Wilson and the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks take on Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. The Seahawks are trying to become the first team to repeat as champs since Tom Brady and the Patriots did it ten years ago. This is Brady’s sixth Super Bowl, an NFL record for appearances by a quarterback.
All of Westwood One's game day programming is being offered to stations in stereo in addition to mono. Westwood One’s live game coverage features Kevin Harlan, handling the play-by-play duties for the Super Bowl for the fifth straight year, and Boomer Esiason, serving as the color analyst—his 15th consecutive with the network. Hall of Famer James Lofton and Mark Malone will once again report from the sidelines.
