TV Ratings: FOX News Channel Continues Domination


During the week of May 19-25, FOX News Channel averaged 2.9 million viewers in weekday primetime, leading broadcast network ABC (2.1 million viewers) and all of cable news. 

Notably, the network has captured the top 1100 telecasts since the election. During Monday-Sunday total day (6 AM-6 AM/ET), FNC posted 1.6 million viewers and 175,000 in the 25-54 demo leading all of cable. In Monday-Sunday primetime (8-11 PM/ET), FNC averaged 2.4 million viewers and 252,000 in the 25-54 demo. CNN posted yet another low for the year with M-Sun. primetime viewers (386,000 viewers) and M-Sun. total day demo viewers (56,000 A25-54).


For the week, The Five averaged 3.9 million viewers (362,000 A25-54), leading cable news with viewers. At 6 PM/ET, Special Report with Bret Baier drew 2.9 million viewers and 273,000 in the 25-54 demo. The Ingraham Angle saw 2.7 million viewers and 286,000 in the 25-54 demo at 7 PM/ET. At 8 PM/ET, Jesse Watters Primetime delivered 3.4 million viewers and 370,000 in the 25-54 demo, the highest rated demo in cable news. At 9 PM/ET, Hannity posted 2.8 million viewers and 319,000 with A25-54. At 11 PM/ET, FOX News @ Night secured 1.5 million viewers and 190,000 in the 25-54 demo.

At 10 PM/ET, FNC’s late-night offering Gutfeld! secured 3 million viewers and 349,000 with A25-54. Gutfeld! once again topped the broadcast competition including CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (1,841,000 viewers; 288,000 A25-54), ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! (1,436,000 viewers; 235,000 A25-54) and NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (1,201,000 viewers; 278,000 A25-54). 


FNC’s daytime programs continued to outpace the broadcast competition throughout the week. The Will Cain Show (weekdays, 4 PM/ET; 2,150,000 viewers), Outnumbered (weekdays, 12 PM/ET; 2,062,000 viewers), Harris Faulkner’s The Faulkner Focus (weekdays, 11 AM/ET; 1,963,000 viewers), America’s Newsroom (weekdays, 9-11 AM/ET; 1,961,000 viewers), America Reports (weekdays, 1-3 PM/ET; 1,899,000 viewers) and The Story with Martha MacCallum (weekdays, 3 PM/ET; 1,826,000 viewers) all led NBC’s Today Third Hour (1,645,000 viewers), ABC’s GMA3 (1,176,000 viewers), NBC’s Today with Jenna & Friends (1,150,00 viewers) and NBC News Daily (1,044,000 viewers) with viewers. 

On Saturday: My View with Lara Trump (Saturday, 9 PM/ET) was the most watched program with 1.4 million viewers. At 8 PM/ET, Life, Liberty & Levin followed closely behind, commanding 1.3 million viewers. FOX & Friend Saturday (Saturday, 6-10 AM/ET) was the most-watched show amongst the 25-54 demo nabbing 151,000 A25-54.

On Sunday: Maria Bartiromo’s Sunday Morning Futures (Sunday, 10 AM/ET) was the top show of the day with 1.4 million viewers. FOX & Friends Sunday (Sunday, 6-10 AM/ET) was the most watched show with younger viewers, scoring 125,000 A25-54. Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy secured 1.3 million viewers. One Nation with Brian Kilmeade (Sunday, 10 PM/ET) drew in 1 million viewers.

  • “World News Tonight” posted week-to-week gains in all key demos: Total Viewers (+3%/+213,000 – 7.179 million vs. 6.966 million), Adults 25-54 (+9%/+78,000 – 969,000 vs. 891,000) and Adults 18-49 (+13%/+83,000 – 708,000 vs. 625,000).
  • “World News Tonight” (7.179 million, 969,000 and 708,000, respectively) defeated “CBS Evening News” (3.930 million, 555,000 and 396,000, respectively) by 3.249 million Total Viewers, by 414,000 Adults 25-54 and by 312,000 Adults 18-49.


  • “World News Tonight” saw its lead over “CBS Evening News” grow week to week in Total Viewers (+2% – 3.249 million vs. 3.200 million), Adults 25-54 (+7% – 414,000 vs. 388,000) and Adults 18-49 (+21% – 312,000 vs. 257,000).
  • For the 11th week running, “World News Tonight” widened its margins over “CBS Evening News” year to year in Total Viewers (+9% – 3.249 million vs. 2.991 million), Adults 25-54 (+14% – 414,000 vs. 364,000) and Adults 18-49 (+26% – 312,000 vs. 248,000).

“Good Morning America” ranked as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers (2.653 million) during the week of May 19, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.
  •  “GMA” outdelivered NBC’s “Today” (2.575 million) by 78,000 to take the top spot for the 12th week in a row.“GMA” saw week-to-week gains in Total Viewers (+3% – 2.653 million vs. 2.578 million), Adults 25-54 (+6% – 451,000 vs. 425,000) and Adults 18-49 (+14% – 311,000 vs. 273,000).


  • “GMA” (2.653 million, 451,000 and 311,000, respectively) beat “CBS Mornings” (2.014 million, 314,000 and 199,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+696,000), Adults 25-54 (+137,000) and Adults 18-49 (+112,000). “GMA” led “CBS Mornings” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the last 1,375 weeks overall — since w/o 1/18/99.
