Paul Hedberg |
Paul owned KAYL during most of the 1990's. During Hedberg's over four-decade radio career, he ran a total of 21 stations, spread across ten communities in Iowa and Minnesota. He put a premium on his stations' commitment to live and local content.
In 1997, Hedberg applied for, and was granted the license for the KBVU station, which he donated to Buena Vista University.
Hedberg served three terms on the National Association of Broadcasters board of directors. In 1998, he was named Broadcaster of the Year by the Iowa Broadcasters Association.
