D-C Radio: El Zol's 'Radioton' Raises $289K+ For St. Jude


Entercom raised over $289,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during WLZL 107.9 El Zol’s “Radiotón” in Washington D.C. The amount donated during the 4th annual radiothon brought the overall fundraising total to over $1.3 million since 2017.

“The love of community and generosity to help others never stops, even during a pandemic,” said Ivy Savoy-Smith, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom Washington D.C. “The El Zol audience is passionate, loyal and giving and we’re so proud to team up with them to support the selfless work of St. Jude and their efforts to cure childhood cancer.”

The radiothon was broadcast on Friday, October 16. Programming featured pre-recorded interviews with patients and staff from St. Jude Children’s Hospital and listener call-ins.

Founded in 1962, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s mission is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment.
