Westwood One News to Cover Conventions

Bob Constantini
Earlier this week, Westwood One News correspondent Bob Costantini was in Charlotte, NC covering Hillary Clinton’s first rally with President Obama. This was shortly after FBI Director James Comey announced that no charges would be filed against Clinton for her handling of emails, which he called “extremely careless.” Westwood One News correspondent Steve Kastenbaum is in Atlantic City today where Ms. Clinton strongly criticized Trump’s business record while standing in front of the failed Trump Plaza casino.

Coming up, Westwood One News will be on the scene with live coverage from the Republican National Convention in Cleveland July 18-21, and the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia July 25-28. The Westwood One News convention team includes correspondents Bob Costantini, Jim Roope, Alan Scaia and Karin Caifa among its reporter and producer crew. Chas Henry will anchor longform coverage and Michael Toscano will anchor evening short form special reports.

The team will operate from its Westwood One News broadcast booth inside the convention arenas. Programming will include a live podium feed of all sessions; anchored coverage of the presidential and vice-presidential acceptance speeches and other major events; four special reports per hour during evening sessions; live correspondent Q&A opportunities for affiliates; and a live simulcast of CNN TV coverage.
