Detroit Radio: WXYT Plans Special Lions Gameday Programming

Audacy’s 97.1 The Ticket WXYT-FM, the flagship radio station of the Detroit Lions, has unveiled special Lions gameday programming for the 2023 season.

Programming is headlined by the “Lions Pregame Show,” featuring on-air hosts Rico Beard and Jim Costa before all non-primetime regular season games. Select pregame shows will broadcast from various locations throughout the city. Mike Stone and FOX 2 Detroit’s Jennifer Hammond will break down the action following each game. Postgame coverage for all home games will broadcast live from the Wynnbet Sports Bar at Ford Field.

The full Sunday gameday lineup is as follows:

• 9:00 a.m.: “Kickoff with Boomer Esiason & Mike Valenti”
• 10:00 a.m.: “Lions Tailgate Show” with Rico Beard and Jim Costa
• 12:00 p.m.: “Lions Pregame Show” with Dan Miller, Lomas Brown and TJ Lang
• 1:00 p.m. - end of game: Lions Radio Network play-by-play on 97.1 The Ticket
• End of game - 5:00 p.m.: Lions Radio Network postgame with Dan Miller, TJ Lang and Jim Costa
• 5:00 p.m.: “Lions Postgame Show” with Stoney (Mike Stone) and Jennifer Hammond
• 7:00 p.m:: Pat Caputo
