Philly Radio: 'The Kevins' To Call Phillies Baseball

The MLB Philadelphia Phillies have added three former players Kevin Frandsen, Kevin Jordan and Kevin Stocker — to their radio broadcast team. The three Kevins will work alongside Scott Franzke, the play-by-play announcer, in 2018, according to The Morning Call.

Current radio voice 64-year-old Larry Anderason announced last season that he would be reducing his schedule to home game for the Phillies.

“There’s no doubt that replacing LA is a tough job,” Phillies Executive Vice President David Buck said in a news release. “His chemistry with Franzke has been outstanding and together they made listening to our games entertaining, but we believe that the unique personalities, knowledge of the game and familiarity with Phillies fans that each Kevin has, will complement Franzke’s role in the booth, making this new lineup of radio talent fun for our fans.”

Frandsen and Stocker have the most radio experience. Frandsen has been working on AM radio in the San Francisco Bay area for the past year and a half. He currently hosts “KNBR Tonight” on KNBR 680 AM and hosted a morning show on KNBR 1050 AM prior to that.

Stocker, a color analyst with the Pac-12 Network and CBS Sports Network, has broadcast college baseball for the last 14 years. He also called six Phillies games with Franzke since 2016.

Jordan worked three games on Phillies radio with Franzke in 2017.
