WDAE 620 AM & W237CW 95.3 FM, Tampa Bay's Sports Radio, announced Thursday it will provide radio broadcast coverage of the Tampa Bay Rays as they play the Cuban National Team in an exhibition game on Tuesday, March 22 at Estadio Latinoamericano in Havana during an historic trip to the island nation.
This will be the first visit to Cuba by an MLB franchise since the Baltimore Orioles played an exhibition game against the Cuban National Team on March 28, 1999. WDAE will provide live coverage of the game.
The broadcast will feature the Rays Radio Network team of Dave Wills, Andy Freed and Neil Solondz on the call, as well as a special 90 minute broadcast featuring WDAE’s Ronnie Lane and JP Peterson broadcasting live from the venue in Havana. The entire broadcast can be heard locally on WDAE and streaming live on MLB.com.
Ronnie Lane & JP Peterson will broadcast Tuesday from 12-1:30 p.m. Tampa Bay Rays Game Coverage will begin at 1:30 p.m. with the first pitch at 2:00 p.m.
