CBS prime time, "NBC Nightly News With Lester Holt" and Fox News Channel were the winners in last week's ratings.
The Eye Network had the Top 10 shows the week before last. In the latest ratings, CBS had the Top 11 most-watched programs.
They were:
1. Grammys, 25 million
2. "NCIS," 17.3 million
3. "The Big Bang Theory," 15.2 million
4. "NCIS: New Orleans," 13.4 million
5. "Blue Bloods," 10.74 million
6. "Madam Secretary," 10.73 million
7. "60 Minutes," 10.7 million
8. "Life in Pieces," 9.3 million
9. "Hawaii Five-0," 8.9 million
10. "Mom," 8.7 million
11. "Survivor," 8.3 million
The averages for the broadcast networks in total viewers: CBS with 10.7 million, ABC with 5.2 million, NBC with 5 million, Fox with 4 million and The CW with 1.6 million. CBS also won the 18-to-49 age group, followed by ABC, Fox, NBC and The CW.
The Orlando Sentinel reports Favorite programs of the 18-to-49 age group for the week were the Grammys, "The Big Bang Theory," ABC's "Modern Family," "NCIS," a tie between ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" and "The Bachelor," a tie between "Life in Pieces" and Fox's "The X-Files," and a four-way tie among "NCIS: New Orleans," the Wednesday and Thursday editions of Fox's "American Idol" and ABC's "The Goldbergs."
In evening news, the race for total viewers was close. "NBC Nightly News" averaged 9.059 million viewers while "ABC World News Tonight With David Muir" was right behind with 9.026 million -- a gap of 33,000. The "CBS Evening News With Scott Pelley" drew 7.326 million.
In basic cable, Fox News Channel was the most-watched channel for the fifth week in a row. That was true in total day and prime time, where Fox News averaged 2.2 million viewers. Fox News got a lift from its Saturday coverage of the South Carolina GOP primary and the Democratic caucuses in Nevada.
As for the competition, CNN ranked No. 7 for the week in prime time, and MSNBC was No. 13.
