Summers, who was also the Program Director for Q98.5-FM, had been on the air in Rockford for more than 20 years, as well as a fixture at many local community events.
His departure marks the second high-profile departure from a Town Square Media radio station in the past few months. Radio talk show host Scot Bertram recently left 1440-AM WROK to become General Manager of a college radio station in Michigan.
According to mystateline.com, neither Summers nor Town Square would divulge details about his departure or future plans.
