During an interview with Trump on Monday, the controversial talk show personality stated that the GOP front-runner will gain Latino votes should he face off with Clinton in the general election since Hispanics believe that women are inferior.
"The reason Hispanics are going to vote for you," he said "is because, to be honest, and it's very clear, the Hispanic culture is a macho culture. Men don't like reporting to a woman. It's just the way the culture is," said Savage before asking Trump about his popularity with Hispanics, accordinf to The Latin Post.
Rather than directly responding or challenging to Savage's mischaracterization of Hispanics, the billionaire businessman continued the interview by saying that he is "doing well" among Latino voters.
However, an MSNBC/Telemundo/Marist survey revealed that 55 percent of Latinos have a "very" negative view of Trump, while 12 percent hold a "somewhat" negative opinion of the candidate.
Nonetheless, during the interview, the wealthy politican bragged about hiring countless Latino workers.
"I have thousands of people that work for me that are Hispanic," he said. "And tens of thousands over the years that have been Hispanic and from Mexico and different places and they're phenomenal people. And, you know, they frankly, you know they don't want people coming into the country illegally and taking their jobs."
