"He gave us his resignation yesterday," Terry Simmons, program director for the Cumulus-owned radio station, told Florida Today. "Cumulus plans to take the show in a different direction to better serve our listeners."
However, Vee's lawyer, Mark Warzecha of Widerman Malek, told Floria Today he has been hired to look into the circumstances of Vee's departure.
While Vee said he couldn't comment on the details of his departure, he said his dedication to helping nonprofits in Brevard would continue. "Everything that I do in the community is going to stay," he said. "I'll do the same type of thing without a microphone.
"I'm not done in this market. I'm not done," he added. "I've still got a lot of radio in me, maybe."
The station currently seeks a new co-host for Cheree Carter, who joined the morning show in February 2013.
