That didn't take long: A week after parting ways with a
Woodstock radio station because his brand of morning show humor turned off
listeners, Bob "Wolf" Wohlfeld has landed a new gig just up the dial:
hosting a morning show on WKLI-100.9 FM.
According to the Albany, NY Times-Union, Wohlfeld starts his latest incarnation of "Wakin' Up
With the Wolf" at 6 a.m. Monday. Just last Thursday, he and WDST-100.1 FM Woodstock,
NY parted ways over content, ending Wolf's two-week stint at the station. See posting from earlier this week, Click Here.
"I'm not sure, but I might have set a world
record" for getting rehired, Wohlfeld said Thursday afternoon. "This
month has been like a blur."
WKLI plays a mainstream classic rock, and appears to be a
better fit for Wohlfeld — a mainstay personality on WPYX-106.5 FM from 2000 to
2012 and before that on WPDH-101.5 FM in Poughkeepsie — than the progressive
Woodstock station.
The move to the Albany Broadcasting station reunites Wohlfeld
with General Manager Bob Ausfeld, who oversaw Wolf at PYX.
In hindsight, Wohlfeld said, his personality and the station
were never going to work.
"Their level of political correctness I'm not capable
of," he said.
WHERE IS WOLF?????????? I listened to him in the mornings then turned on the station one day to find COUNTRY???
