Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) launched its TV streaming platform, Truth+, globally, marking a significant expansion of its media ventures beyond the social media platform Truth Social.
The launch, initially beta-tested in late June 2025, includes the flagship Newsmax channel, a conservative news outlet, as a key component to bolster TMTG’s reach and Newsmax’s international presence.
Truth+ offers live TV channels and on-demand content, described as “family-friendly,” and is accessible on iOS, Android, web, and connected TV platforms like Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire, and Roku, with plans to expand to LG and Samsung smart TVs pending app approvals.
The partnership with Newsmax, which went public in March 2025, aims to provide “non-woke” reporting and challenge mainstream media narratives, according to TMTG CEO Devin Nunes. Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy praised the collaboration, noting its potential to grow Newsmax’s global audience, which already reaches over 40 million Americans through various platforms.
The rollout is still in testing, with TMTG collecting user feedback to refine the platform.
Market reactions were mixed, with TMTG shares rising 0.6% to $19.06 and Newsmax shares falling 2.6% to $14.65 on launch day. The move aligns with TMTG’s broader mission to counter Big Tech censorship, as seen with Truth Social and the upcoming Truth.
Fi financial services brand. However, specific details on subscriber targets, pricing, or content beyond Newsmax remain limited, raising questions about the platform’s long-term financial impact.
