NYC Radio: Tiki Barber Exits CBS Sports for WFAN, Giants

Tiki Barber, the New York Giants’ all-time leading rusher, has left his role as an NFL game analyst for CBS Sports to join the Giants’ radio broadcast team on WFAN for the 2025 NFL season.

Barber had been part of CBS’s NFL coverage since 2019, most recently working in a three-man booth with play-by-play announcer Andrew Catalon and analyst Jason McCourty. On Wednesday, the Giants and WFAN announced that Barber will serve as a pregame and postgame co-host alongside Giants.com’s John Schmeelk, joining veteran broadcasters Bob Papa, Carl Banks, and Howard Cross.

The move marks a return to his former team, where he played his entire 10-year NFL career, retiring in 2007 with 10,449 rushing yards and 15,632 yards from scrimmage, both franchise records.

The shakeup at CBS sees Charles Davis replacing Barber in the booth with Catalon and McCourty, while J.J. Watt takes on the No. 2 analyst role at the network.

It’s unclear whether Barber’s departure was his choice or due to CBS opting not to renew his contract, as the three-man booth allows McCourty to slide into a solo analyst role without needing a direct replacement.

Barber, who has been a WFAN afternoon co-host on Evan & Tiki since 2022, expressed excitement about the move, stating, “This organization has meant so much to me, professionally and personally. The Giants have a long history of legendary broadcasters, and Wellington Mara always told them to call it like they see it because our fans know better.”

Audacy’s New York Market President Chris Oliviero praised Barber’s credibility and energy, noting his presence will enhance Giants gameday coverage.
