Todd and Julie Chrisley spoke out for the first time since their prison release in an interview on My View with Lara Trump. On the upcoming episode, airing Saturday, June 28, 2025, Julie shared her emotional reaction to learning of their pardon by President Donald Trump.
“I called my daughter one more time, and she said, ‘He did it! He signed it!’ I just started bursting out crying,” Julie recounted, describing the shock of receiving rare good news in prison. “I was so nervous I just hung up. They asked, ‘Are you OK?’ And I said, ‘I think I’m getting out of here!’”
Todd recalled a corrections officer informing him of the pardon: “A CO came to my dorm and said, ‘You good?’ I said, ‘As good as I can be!’ He told me, ‘Todd, you just got pardoned.’ I said, ‘Well hell, if I’m pardoned, I’m great!’”
The Chrisley Knows Best stars, convicted in June 2022 on 12 counts of tax evasion, bank and wire fraud, and conspiracy, were pardoned in May 2025. Todd had faced 12 years, and Julie seven, with both incarcerated since January 2023.
