Atlanta Radio: Ramona DeBreaux Added To Weekends On WALR

Ramona DeBreaux, a veteran Atlanta radio personality, has returned to the airwaves, joining Cox Media Group’s KISS 104.1 (WALR-FM), an Urban Adult Contemporary station in Atlanta.

After a two-year hiatus, she now hosts weekend slots, Saturdays from 4-7 p.m. and Sundays from 12-4 p.m. DeBreaux, known for her 15-year run as a midday host at Audacy’s V103 (WVEE) until January 2023, had stepped away to focus on writing, television production, and film projects. She also spent 12 years at Radio One’s Hot 97.5/Hot 107.9 (WHTA) from 1995 to 2007.

Her return to KISS 104.1, a station she has long admired, was celebrated by both DeBreaux and station leadership.

She expressed excitement about reconnecting with Atlanta listeners, stating, “Returning to the airwaves in my hometown—on a station I’ve always admired—is a dream come true. KISS 104.1 has an incredible lineup and a commitment to Atlanta’s community that speaks to my soul.”

Michael Saunders, KISS 104.1’s Director of Branding and Programming, praised her charisma, authenticity, and community leadership, noting her voice as a powerful asset for the station.

DeBreaux’s nearly three-decade career and induction into the National Black Radio Hall of Fame in 2022 underscore her influence in Atlanta’s media landscape.
