Diddy Trial : 'Jane' Provides Disturbing Testimony

Day 19 of Sean "Diddy" Combs’ federal racketeering and sex-trafficking trial Monday, a witness using the pseudonym "Jane" continued her testimony. Jane, one of Combs’ accusers, provided detailed accounts of alleged abuse and coercion during their relationship, which began in 2020. Key points from her testimony include:

Alleged Physical Altercation: Jane testified about a violent incident on June 18, 2024, claiming Combs assaulted her, causing visible bruising around her eye and a welt on her forehead. She presented videos from that time showing these injuries, though she had applied makeup to conceal them. Jane recounted Combs instructing her to “put some ice on it and put an outfit on” after the incident.

Hotel Nights/Freak-Offs:
Jane described participating in drug-fueled sexual encounters, referred to as “hotel nights” or “freak-offs,” orchestrated by Combs. These involved male “entertainers” and followed a pattern, sometimes lasting over 24 hours. She testified that she repeatedly expressed discomfort, texting Combs about wanting to stop, but felt dismissed or belittled when discussing it in person.

Financial Control: Jane stated that Combs paid her monthly rent for a Los Angeles home, starting with a $10,000 allowance in March 2023, and continued covering her legal bills. She described Combs leveraging this financial support, such as referencing the “roof over your head” in messages, to maintain control. She also noted Combs pressured her to get dental veneers and dictated her appearance, including hair, nails, and clothing.

Emotional Impact: Jane’s testimony was emotional, with reports of her breaking into tears while discussing the toll of the “hotel nights” and her relationship with Combs. She mentioned being in therapy for three months and not filing any lawsuits against Combs, emphasizing her testimony was not financially motivated.

Jane’s direct examination concluded on June 9, with cross-examination by Combs’ defense scheduled for June 10, 2025. Her testimony aimed to support the prosecution’s case that Combs used coercion, fraud, and control to orchestrate a criminal enterprise involving sex trafficking and racketeering.

Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges, which include racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
