Public Display of Insubordination At NBC, MSNBC 'Quite Remarkable'

Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer accused NBC and MSNBC hosts of “enormous insubordination” for making public their displeasure with NBC’s decision to hire former Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel as a contributor.

“Turn this around,” Hemmer said on America’s Newsroom Monday. “If somebody said this at Fox News, they’d be walked out the door.”

NBC announced Friday that it had signed McDaniel, setting off a flood of criticism on social media, and leading some NBC and MSNBC hosts to call out their network on air—something that is rarely seen anywhere on television, reports Forbes.

On Fox News Monday, host Dana Perino said Todd and other NBC hosts had crossed a line by airing their criticism in public. “If you have a problem with your employer, you do that publicly? I would never do that,” Perino said. “They are so willing to stick with their ideology and to be so rigid in it that they’re willing to do that to their employer. Quite remarkable.”
