Spotify has revealed its annual Wrapped campaign for 2023, announcing the top-streamed artists, albums, songs and podcasts in addition to rolling out personalized stats for users on the platform.
Variety reports Taylor Swift leads the pack as Spotify’s most-streamed global artist, unseating Bad Bunny who held the crown for the past three years. Listeners helped Swift surpass 26.1 billion streams worldwide since the top of the year, and in the U.S., she also netted out as the most-streamed musician in 2023 with Drake, Morgan Wallen, the Weeknd and Bad Bunny lined up behind her. (It’s also worth noting that her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s podcast, “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce,” was the top-streamed global sports podcast.)
Since Jan. 1, Spotify has had over 574 million people listen globally. On a worldwide scale, Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” was the most-streamed song of the year with 1.6 billion listens, while Bad Bunny’s “Un Verano Sin Ti” makes its second-consecutive annual entry atop the most-streamed album worldwide. In the podcast world, “The Joe Rogan Experience” was the most popular (as it has been for the past few years), with “Call Her Daddy,” “Huberman Lab,” “Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlain” and “On Purpose with Jay Shetty” behind it.
Starting on Wednesday, eligible Spotify users will be access their 2023 Wrapped experience on the mobile app, as well on desktop or at spotify.com/wrapped.
