CableTV Ratings: Tucker Carlson Is Most-Watched


Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson had the most-watched show in all of cable news for the week ending June 13th, with Tucker Carlson Tonight delivering an average total audience of 2.8 million viewers. Forbes reports the show also led among viewers 25-54, the demographic group most valued by advertisers, with an average audience of 457,000 viewers.

FNC’s Hannity had the second-highest audience in the key demo on the week, with an average audience of 363,000 viewers, besting MSNBC’s highest-rated prime time program, The Rachel Maddow Show, which delivered an average audience in the key demo of 308,000 viewers.

Overall, Fox News was the highest-rated network not just in cable news, but all of basic cable, winning prime time for the 17th consecutive week with an average total audience of 2.2 million viewers and 331,000 viewers in the advertiser-friendly key demo.

On weekends, two of Fox News’ newest programs, Unfiltered with Dan Bongino (Saturdays at 10 p.m. ET) and Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy (Sundays at 7 p.m. ET), each easily outdistanced the cable news competition, with Bongino taking honors as the most-watched weekend show in cable news for the second straight week, with an average total audience of 1.5 million viewers and 269,000 viewers in the key demo.  Trey Gowdy’s show won among total viewers (1.2 million viewers) and in the key demo (137,000 viewers).

In late night, FNC’s Gutfeld! continued to deliver impressive audiences, averaging 1.5 million total viewers for the week and 296,000 viewers 25-54, beating broadcast network late night shows including ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live and NBC’s The Tonight Show.
