As RVPs, Babin and Carter will leverage their broadened view of our business to help ensure that their respective markets provide a better customer experience, meet CMG’s financial and customer targets and engage and motivate our employees about our CMG goals and objectives. They will be a business partner, collaborator and contributor to the team’s success in each market and will assist in solving local business issues, as well as enable and support a cohesive team driving business results. Additionally, they have experience in cultivating talent in CMG’s markets, always keeping an eye out for future leaders who can be developed within the company.

Under Babin’s leadership as VP/GM, CMG Miami Radio launched top-performing brand Hits 97.3. In addition, the CMG Miami team was awarded two National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Awards and two National Association of Broadcasters Service to America Awards for excellence in community service. During his 17-year career with CMG, Babin has held General Sales Manager roles at Orlando’s K92FM, Atlanta’s 97.1 The River and News 95.5 AM 750 WSB. Prior to his current role, Babin was Director of Sales for CMG Atlanta Radio.

Ray’s passion for this industry is unparalleled, and he is the perfect leader to take advantage of all the new and exciting opportunities facing the television industry.”
Carter, a 30-year broadcast veteran, joined CMG and WPXI-TV, the NBC-affiliated station in Pittsburgh, as a General Manager in 2001. Before becoming a GM, he was the executive in charge of local news in several different media markets. Throughout his career, Carter also has worked as the News Director of local news operations in many markets, including Des Moines, Salt Lake City, and Atlanta.
“CMG has some of the finest television stations in the country,” said Carter. “To be able to work in concert with the CMG leadership teams in Boston, Charlotte, Memphis, Pittsburgh and Seattle, is an exciting proposition.
