The morning radio show on WXLP 96.9 FM 97X hosted by Greg Dwyer and Bill Michaels was honored last week at Talentmasters Morning Show Boot Camp 29 with the Kidd Kraddick Award.
The award is named in honor of David Peter Cradick (1959-2013), a radio host and television personality known as Kidd Kraddick. Created in 2013, the award is based on components that include uniqueness, overall content, community service, and inspiration to other shows and personalities, according to a release from Townsquare Media Quad Cities, parent company of WXLP and 97x.com.
Dwyer and Michaels have hosted their showon 97X since 2007. It airs from 5:30 to 10 a.m. weekdays.
“Kidd was a friend and an inspiration to us very early in our careers. We’re incredibly honored to be
recognized with this award,” Mr. Michaels said in the release.
“The award is given to the host or show who excels in both on- and off-air excellence, as well as serving as an inspiration to others," said Don Anthony, Talentmasters president and host of Morning Show Boot Camp, in the release.
