Wright was known for his radio career at WOKB, WAJL, WORL, 102 Jamz, Star 94.5 and also did radio for a time in Birmingham, ALA.
Friends says he loved promoting gospel music, new and upcoming artists local and national, as well as gospel concerts. He was and is respected in the gospel arena.

He created and presented the 102JAMZ and the Glory of Gospel.
