WARH 106.5 The Arch has partnered with Sack Lunch Productions to bring The Lantern Fest to Brookdale Farms on Saturday, November 5, 2016. Event organizers expect thousands to join together for this incredible spectacle as the national event makes its first ever stop in the St. Louis area.
“St. Louis is an exciting addition to our 2016 schedule,” says event director Deven Baum. “This magical event is something everyone needs to experience. The lantern release is a personal experience for hopes, loved ones, goals, and much more.”
When gates open at 2:00 p.m., families can settle in to roast s’mores, decorate their lanterns, and enjoy entertainment, including: a stage show, face painters, princesses, inflatables, and live music. After sunset, participants will come together to release their lanterns, painting the sky gold with their hopes and dreams.
“This event is unique because it appeals to people of all ages,” said Lantern Fest spokeswoman Mackena Quinn. “It is not often that an event encourages participation from the youngest children to senior citizens and everyone in between. It means something different to each participant but can be enjoyed by all.”
Lantern Passes can be purchased online and are required for admission to the event. Each pass comes with a lantern, marker, s’mores kit, and lighter. Tickets start at $30 for adults and $7 for kids under 12. Tickets are available at http://www.thelanternfest.com/location/st-louis/.
