KORE 1050 AM, which began broadcasting in Eugene in 1928, went silent on June 15, a week after the radio station’s property was sold to a Eugene-based development firm.

Locally owned Support Christian Broadcasting “is no longer able to operate the station,” the company said in its notice to the FCC.
The firm said it has “located a potential buyer for the station,” subject to approval by the FCC.
