The future remains uncharacteristically cloudy for one of
the jewels in Howard Stern’s crown.
Howard TV, the video arm of the shock jock’s media empire,
has yet to find a new home.
Stern and the channel’s distributor, iN Demand, said back in
September that they were pulling the plug on Dec. 16 — after almost eight years
on the air. The deal actually expires on Dec. 31, opening the door for new
talks with potential video partners starting on Jan. 1, according to The NewYork Daily News.
Stern has said little about the move, noting on the air last
fall that iN Demand would be replaced by a “new approach.” But he said that
change was “not ready to be announced.”
