Outkick Integrating Into Fox News Media

Clay Travis is stepping away from day-to-day operations at OutKick as the sports and political site integrates fully into Fox News Digital, though he will remain with the network as a contributor and continue hosting his show on FS1.

Travis, who founded OutKick in 2011 and sold it to Fox News Media five years ago, has signed a new deal to serve as a Fox News contributor. He will also keep hosting OutKick the Show with Clay Travis on FS1 and his syndicated Premiere Networks talk radio program with Buck Sexton.

The move marks the end of an earn-out period typical for such acquisitions. Fox is folding OutKick as a dedicated vertical within its larger Fox News Digital platform to expand its audience and reach at the intersection of sports and culture.

“When I created OutKick in 2011, the goal was not only for the site to be smart, original, funny, and authentic, but also to become an influential digital platform in the industry,” Travis said in a statement.

“Over the past 15 years, with the help of an incredible team and the support from Fox, that goal has been accomplished. While I am stepping away from OutKick, the platform is in a tremendous position to continue building upon its success and reach an even wider audience as it takes its next step as a vertical within Fox News Digital. I’m excited about the future of OutKick and remaining part of the Fox News Media family as a contributor.”

Fox News Media president and executive editor Jay Wallace added: “Clay Travis has been an integral voice and leader for OutKick and is leaving the platform well positioned for the future. We thank him for his invaluable contributions to OutKick as we continue to grow it under the Fox News Digital domain and build on our momentum in driving authentic coverage of the intersection of sports and culture.”

The company reported that May 2026 marked its largest month ever for unique devices and pageviews.

In recent years, OutKick has signed a range of commentators spanning sports and politics, including Tyrus, Riley Gaines, Tomi Lahren, and most recently Dan Dakich.
