Philly Radio: Longtime Audacy GM Plans Retirement

David Yadgaroff

Audacy announced that longtime executive David Yadgaroff will retire in late May, ending a 36-year career in radio, according to an internal memo to staff.

Yadgaroff, Senior Vice President and Market Manager for the company’s Philadelphia stations, is stepping down after years of leading one of Audacy’s most prominent markets. The announcement was made by Regional President Mark Hannon.

Audacy CEO Kelli Turner credited Yadgaroff with building strong station brands and mentoring teams, while Yadgaroff said his departure follows “an extraordinary run” and that he plans to focus on family and new opportunities.

A veteran of the Philadelphia radio market, Yadgaroff held key leadership roles at CBS Radio before its integration into Audacy’s predecessor, Entercom. He oversaw major stations including KYW-AM, WYSP-FM, WPHT-AM, and WOGL-FM during his tenure.

Yadgaroff began his career ascent at KYW in 1995 as Local Sales Manager, later becoming General Sales Manager at WMGK-FM before returning to CBS Radio in 2003 as Vice President and General Manager. He expanded his oversight in 2004 and was promoted to Senior Vice President and Market Manager in 2015.

His retirement closes a decades-long career that helped shape Philadelphia’s radio industry.
